Side by side with MAN Truck & Bus, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles, we are hiring for a dedicated team in our Hub.

MAN Truck & Bus is focusing on four key areas:

• Alternative drive systems;
• Digitalization;
• Automated driving;

Thus transforming itself from a commercial vehicle manufacturer to a provider of intelligent and sustainable transport solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
Working in the context of automotive IoT you will create, test, deploy and run (DevOps) backend solutions and internal tools using modern cloud infrastructure.
You will develop and maintain functionality for our trucks using agile methodologies, being responsible for integral parts of our technical roadmap.
You will create products, prototypes and MVPs for near-vehicle services.
You will take care of cloud native microservices using containers, serverless functions, RESTful APIs and event streaming.
You will be able to take end to end responsibility for the products you build, including usage of hardware test setups to validate combability with embedded systems.
You will advise your team and other teams on all questions around backend and tool development in an automotive IoT environment and work together on continuously improving the service, tooling and processes.
You will take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, being the interface between electrical engineers, IT technology and the user.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
At least 3 years of experience in similar role;
Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of complex software solutions in an international context;
Solid experience with backend development in Java/Kotlin with focus on RESTful APIs and event driven architecture (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, MQTT);
Relevant knowledge in frameworks, ideally Spring Boot;
Relevant knowledge of relational database management systems (like Postgres);
Solid experience with Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles as well as common software design patterns. Emphasis on quality, maintainability and usability;
Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills;
Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
Having an Agile and DevOps mindset;
Experience with CI/CD and microservice architectures;
Experience in using and integrating cloud services (preferably AWS) with cloud paradigms like Infrastructure-as-code, PaaS, alerting and monitoring is a plus;
Knowledge of Python for rapid prototyping and tooling is also an advantage.
